Our Students Manny and Hailey have an interesting story to share with you….
While living in Spain, Hailey heard my “Investing in Real Estate Podcast” and told her husband Manny about it. He began listening to the podcast too. They wanted to learn how to wholesale and flip houses. They wanted to learn about investing in rentals and Airbnb’s.
Manny happened to be visiting relatives in the U.S and he attended our real estate investment club meeting on a Tuesday night and at that meeting, he signed up to attend my upcoming boot camp.
Remember, they were both living in Spain at the time!
At the following boot camp, both of them registered and flew in from Spain to attend the boot camp.
At that boot camp they signed up for my coaching program.
And since then, they have been on a new journey to learning how to become full time real estate investors!
The picture above is Manny and Hailey in front of the first house that they flipped (wholesaled) for a profit. It was a tax delinquent lead that came in from a postcard that they mailed to the home owner.
That was their first deal and their goal was simple – “proof of concept” (meaning depositing the profit from their flip into their bank account). This is important for beginners because it shows them that “this works”.
Is it really possible to make thousands of dollars by mailing postcards to sellers who are tax delinquent, in foreclosure or who have inherited properties?
Is it really possible to buy a $220,000 house for $105,000 (50 cents on the dollar)?
The answer is YES. The house in the picture above was purchased for $105,000 and conservatively it’s ARV or what it could sell for fixed up is at least $220,000.
